Who We Are

The 21sth century has seen formidable changes all over the world. Millions of people have been lifted out of poverty. More children are able to read and write than at any point in human history. Access to healthcare has improved and life expectancy is now on average over 72 years globally. Technology has made it possible for people living in the most remote corners of the world to get online.

Yet, despite the many strides that have been made, the development has been uneven. The gap between the rich and the poor continues to grow in rich as well as poor countries. In many places, a rapid urbanization has led to a strain on many services, resulting in high unemployment and poor access to quality education and health care. On top of this, global climate change is now threatening the livelihoods of millions of people.

Norwegian Development Partners (NODEPA) was established in 2016 to:

give

men, women, boys, and girls

opportunities to live dignified

and meaningful lives,

leaving no one behind

To achieve this, we strive to:

Two young school girls with backpacks between two parents walk away from the camera through a park
– build strong, inclusive, and loving communities and partnerships
– care for a person’s physical, mental, material, and spiritual needs
An operating theater
Two cloth-covered huts in a rock-desert landscape
– be present and serve in areas of the world that often are neglected
